Tsavorite Garnet is an extraordinarily rare, vivid green variety of grossular garnet that rivals the emerald in color and brilliance. Discovered in 1967 by British geologist and gem prospector Campbell Bridges, this gemstone was later named by Tiffany & Co. after the Tsavo National Park in Kenya, which lies near the original major deposits.
